    Planning a Wedding can leave one stressed out enough without having to worry if your DJ will show up, or even do a good job.  When choosing a DJ, whether BenJammins DJ Services or someone else, you must first ask yourself what kind of DJ are you looking for?  First, I’d like to thank you for considering my company for such an important event.  Next I’d like to give you some information about myself and my company.  I have been DJing in the Central Florida area for over 9 years, and have many years of wedding and private party experience under my belt that is ready to work for you.  I know the first thing in people’s minds when hiring a DJ or any service for their wedding is price.  When looking for great entertainment however it’s really important to remember that the success of your reception is riding on your guests having a good time with great entertainment by a great DJ.  Of the many things people may remember after the reception, the good times, dancing, family and friends.  Some may not even remember the baked lamb or $100 flower centerpieces, but they will definitely remember the entertainment if there is a “Bad DJ”.  Having a qualified DJ that carries back up equipment, insurance, and a “Legal” music collection is assurance that your wedding will come off a success that people will remember for years.  In wedding planning I try to make your special day “Your Special Day” with music and events that are chosen by you.  I personalize each reception so that your event isn’t just another prepackaged generic reception.  This close interaction, and involvement will make sure that your wedding goes according to your wishes and is not ruined by bad/lack of planning.  With my DJ/MC services I will keep the reception, announcements and events running smoothly so you can enjoy yourselves and not worry about a schedule.   When choosing any DJ service, make sure you know who your DJ is upfront.  Many “Big” companies will book your special day and just give it to any number of DJ’s they have working for them, or even subcontract it out to unqualified DJ’s.  When you book with DJ BenJammins Mobile Entertainment, you’re hiring, planning, and consulting with me to make sure your event is personalized to your taste and not just another gig in the books.

 

What kind of Wedding DJ do I want?

Many people when seeking wedding DJ’s have a fear that the DJ they book may try to “Take Over” their reception and be the focus of the reception.  With myself I strive to make it “your” special day, and keep the focus on “you” during the reception.  While I'm there to MC, coordinate, handle announcements, and keep the events flowing, I'm always trying to keep the bridal party and family the main focus.  If you’re seeking a stuffed shirt snobbish DJ, then I am not your DJ. If you’re looking for a fun upbeat DJ having a goodtime, then you’ve found the right DJ.   I strive to promote a fun, dancing, energetic positive atmosphere and keep things entertaining.  With my new Computer DJ system I can have music loaded and cued, ready to play leaving more time to interact with your guests, gather some musical requests, and stage the events so that the reception flows smoothly.  If you’re looking for a fun reception and good times for all, then DJ BenJammin is the perfect choice.  

 

Who is my DJ?

When choosing BenJammins DJ Service for your wedding, you can be assured of no bait and switch DJ’s.  BenJammins DJ Services is an owner/operator Company, and doesn’t subcontract or pass up your special day to an unqualified DJ, or sell it out for a higher paying gig.  When you book DJ BenJammin, DJ BenJammin is the DJ that’s going to plan, coordinate, and show up to your special day, so there are no surprises.  DJ BenJammin has been doing weddings for the past 9 years, and draws his experience from these events to pass it on to you.  From small simple receptions to full blown crowd interaction with the YMCA party kit, DJ BenJammin can accommodate all levels of crowd interaction.  From the very beginning, we start the planning process to make sure your wedding goes off without a problem.  With unlimited consultations, E-mails, phone calls, and in person meetings, I will make sure your wishes and ideas are followed and implemented by my wedding planner. 

 

I don’t know where to start on planning this reception!!

Upon booking DJ BenJammin, you will receive a wedding planner worksheet which you would fill out and return to us.  This planner is a schedule of your events that gives us a guide to follow for your special day.  On this planner are spaces for formal names, parents, groomsmen, and bridesmaids, so that everyone can be introduced properly.   There is also room for you to list what songs you want played for your special dances.  There is even room on the planner to put songs that you do or don't want played at your wedding.  We follow these instructions to a “T” to make sure we adhere to your wishes.  DJ BenJammins Mobile Entertainment follows this planner to keep your event on schedule and keeps it professional. 

 

What other options are there to make my reception different?

In striving to keep the party level high at your reception, there are several options you can add to take it over the top.  Some options you may want to include are our lighting, karaoke, and glow-stick options.  To keep the energy going, our club style lighting system can add that extra kick.  It’s like having your own private nightclub setup at your reception.   Lights are used sparingly when the moment is right and not used for dinner, announcements or any other time where they would be inappropriate.  But watch out, when the time is right, and its party time, our light show will keep your guests pumped up all night long.  Another great option that goes along well with the lights is our glow-sticks.  If there are going to be young adults or children present, glow-sticks keep them entertained and involved like you wouldn’t believe.  Karaoke is another option you may want to add to your reception.  While karaoke is to make whoever’s singing the star, we strive to balance and limit the amount of singing so that the focus is not taken from our newlyweds.  If there are some great singers in the family it’s a great way to have your favorite dance/song performed live for you and your guests.  As with every wedding we always bring out our box of props.  Our Props include inflatable guitars, horns, keyboards, mics, maracas, wigs, and our ever popular YMCA party kit.  We also bring along our limbo-stick and hoola-hoops upon request.  Props are a great tool to keep the crowd entertained because you never know who thinks they are an “Air guitar” god.
